Newlife 0.4.23 (version 2)

Hello everyone!

Newlife 0.4.23 has been released. Early-access Patrons can find it in the creations section here. The changelog is below.

The public version is still 0.4.22, just as it was a few days back. The public version's changelog is here.

As usual, saved files & templates from older versions probably won't work with newer ones. 

For new players - just use one of the links to the right to get a zipfile containing Newlife. Once unzipped, you'll see a folder containing .jar and .exe files. Either one of these will run the game. 
For either version you'll need to have Java installed. A lot of programs use Java so you might well already have it. If the jar shows up as an unrecognised file type, then you probably don't. In that case you can get it from http://www.java.com/. 
The exe should tell you if you don't have the right version on your computer, but you'll still need to install java to run the game.

This version adds the cheater trait along with an event where you catch your husband cheating and can choose to watch.


Changelog:

Major changes & additions:

• NPCs can now cheat on the PC if she's upset them (by cheating herself) or if they have the new cheater trait. Added a new scene where they get caught which can fire when you're living together (i.e. only after marriage) as well as a sub-scene where you watch them cheat.
• Added the “hotel prostitution” event written by Secondarian.

Minor changes:

• Custom NPCs can be configured to be the special hotel-prostitution client for Secondarian's scene by giving them the HOTEL_PROSTITUTION_CLIENT trait.
• The CHEATER trait is now available for custom NPCs as well.
• Men who don't want kids will no longer ask the pc to go off the pill once they're married.
• Added a separate potential section in the pregnancy revelation scene for when the PC has an active “no pill” vow so he won't be shocked that you're pregnant. Thanks to Saint Destiny for flagging up that this was needed.
• Following a suggestion by Saur, added a few alternative lines to one of the pregnancy-discovery sections.
• Rephrased a time-notification line flagged up by Luna so the player isn't told they're “halfway through the evening” at the nightclub and then again after taking a man home.
• As suggested by beefc4ke, added an alternative line to the porn movie for when bitchy characters refuse to go to the alleyway so they aren't quite as rude as characters who have chosen the “rude” behaviour.

Changes for user-submitted content:

• Added Discord to the list of sites in the submissions guide. Thanks to Secondarian for reminding me to add this. Discord has the most active writing community and is generally the best place to get advice and feedback on your work.
• Added the CHEATER and SLEPT_WITH_PCS_HUSBAND traits to the enum guide.

Bugfixes:

• Fixes to text issues. Thanks to Luna, Saur, Madcat and Teddy for reporting some of these.
• Fixed a bug reported by Luna where the PC could sometimes still talk about being on the pill after lying to a man about it.
• Fixed a bug in the conditions for the love-cap event that would stop it from firing. Thanks for Secondarian for reporting issues accessing it.
• Fixed a bug where the sister-in-law trait was hidden in the character browser.
• Fixed an issue reported by Flanjygo where the “stay in with X” activity was still running a date with the man in question even if they'd broken up earlier in the week.
